Brand Guidelines

These Brand Guidelines govern how approved partners, licensees, and media may represent the Sky Nexus brand. Consistent brand representation protects our trade mark rights under the Trade Marks Act 1995 (Cth) and supports compliance with our Trade Mark Policy. Use of the Sky Nexus brand constitutes acceptance of these guidelines.

Logo usage

The Sky Nexus logo is a registered or pending-registered trade mark. Reproduction must be exact and faithful.

  • Use only official logo files obtained from Sky Nexus — never recreate, redraw, or approximate the logo
  • Clear space: minimum clear zone around the logo equal to the cap-height of 'S' in the wordmark on all sides
  • Minimum size: 80px width on screen; 25mm width in print — below this the logo is not legible
  • Approved colour variants: full-colour on dark backgrounds; reversed (white) on dark solid colours; single-colour (brand purple) for mono contexts
  • Prohibited: stretching, rotating, adding drop shadows or gradients to the logo, placing the logo on busy backgrounds without sufficient contrast, or combining our logo with other logos in a lockup without approval
2

Brand colour palette

Use only the approved palette. Colours must meet WCAG 2.2 contrast requirements when used with text.

  • Navy #0F0A1E — primary background (dark mode / brand environment)
  • Dark #1A0F2E — secondary background
  • Purple #6D4E8C — primary brand accent; use for CTAs, headings, interactive elements
  • Teal #3DBDD9 — secondary accent; highlights, check marks, success states
  • Magenta #DB7B9F — tertiary accent; used sparingly for warmth
  • Coral #EA8B8D — warm accent; data visualisations, statistics
  • White #FFFFFF — body text on dark backgrounds (contrast ratio 14.5:1 on Navy)
  • Do not use unapproved colours or alter hex values — colour consistency protects our trade mark identity
3

Typography

Brand typography must be used consistently in all licensed materials.

  • Primary typeface: Inter (SIL Open Font Licence) — use Bold/ExtraBold for headings, Regular/Medium for body
  • Monospace: JetBrains Mono (SIL OFL) — for code, terminal, and technical content
  • Do not use decorative, script, or condensed typefaces in Sky Nexus-branded communications
  • Minimum body text size: 16px screen / 10pt print for readability and WCAG compliance
4

Tone of voice

All licensed use of the Sky Nexus name should reflect our brand voice.

  • Expert and authoritative — not arrogant; back claims with evidence
  • Clear and direct — plain English; avoid unnecessary jargon
  • Warm and human — we are a team of people, not a faceless corporation
  • Solution-oriented — focus on outcomes and client benefit, not fear-based selling
  • Australian in character — appropriate cultural context for our primary market
5

Prohibited representations

Any representation that violates the following is prohibited and may constitute misleading conduct under the ACL.

  • Claiming Sky Nexus certification, recommendation, or endorsement without written approval
  • Misquoting Sky Nexus leadership, documentation, or research
  • Using our brand to imply government accreditation not held
  • Creating materials that could damage Sky Nexus's reputation or that are inconsistent with our values
6

Requesting brand assets

Approved partners may request logo files (SVG, PNG, EPS), colour swatches, and font pairings by contacting us. All asset use is subject to the Trade Mark Policy and Brand Guidelines and may be audited.
